what size wheel/tire combo for the track?
 

Samson and I were discussing wheel/tire combos and which would be best for the track. So I was woundering what everyone uses?

talking street tires or Slicks? most street tires are 205/50/15 and slicks are usually 8.5/22-24.5"

it all depends on your setup. wider isnt always better and taller diameter can kill acceleration if you dont have the power to push them and vice versa. lots of variables

I saw it. I want to sell the Rotas and I have 3 options: 1) Nice Street tires 2) DRs on different rims 14s/15s 3) Slicks on different rims 13s/14s/15s

See I'm a little nervous about grabbing a little TOO hard and ripping the transmission out and to be honest last weekend's track is rough and my tranny is shifting pretty stiff now. :-\ Although it's only $150 for a new. ;) I was thinking about some nice DRs so I get some traction, can put them on at home and drive them to the track if I NEEDED to. Plus they'll give a little more than slicks would.

We came across the next phase. 13s 14s or 15s? And HOW wide can we go or tall? I recall reading you can only go SO wide on Honda 14s. :-\ We're both around 200whp and suffer traction problems pretty easy. Any suggestions or advice is thanked and welcomed. :y
