What Size Resolution Do you Guys use?
 

Just trying to get an idea what everyone uses on their computers. We are having a tough time getting the site looking good with low res.

(btw if you don’t know how to check what you are running, right click on your desktop, go to properties, then tab over to settings, and it will show screen resolution at the bottom.

Go to http://www.thecounter.com for all kinds of web stats. I think you will find that quite useful. General rule in web design it make it fit 800 by 600. About 40% of the users use that and 40% use 1024 by 762 or what ever it is.

You should be able to look at your site logs and determine the average screen size used, but yes the "recommended" is 800x600 or 1024x768.

I personally use about 720 width on any pages I do, or make a fluid one.

Just about anyone who buys a monitor these days goes wide screen lcd, and most of them are 1680 x 1050. So make sure it looks good at that res :8

I have a dual screen 1680x1050 (22" widescreen DVI) with 1440x900 (19"widescreen VGA) :P

Take a large amount of space on my desk lol

I updated my CRT to 1280 by 1024 but its flickering a little like if you capture a tv with a video camera. I think my eyes are gonna blow out by the end of the week.
