There's fanatics in all religions, but for some reason the muslims are usually extremists. Christians, well the Roman Catholic Church was the same way during the crusades, killing people because they had different believes.

In this era the Muslim Extremists are the ones causing the problems, again I say extremists because the religion itself doesn't teach you to act the way these people are acting, is actually a peaceful religion, but with some ignorants acting the way they do, other ignorants will judge everyone the same way.

theres only ONE version of the quran.. the same one from thousands of years ago.. even the oldest quran found to date is the same as the one i have infront of me right now.. wasnt fixed for dialect.. wasnt changed so people can understand it.. wasnt elaborated on because it was too short.. wasnt abridged because it was too long..

when anything is translated.. it looses its impact.. i.e. when someone became a muslim.. and then learned arabic and actually read and understood the book in arabic they said they wish they had read it in arabic first..

when the quran is translated to a different language it goes through many different panels to make sure the wording is as close to the original meaning as possible.. that way you make sure the person translating isnt biased in his/her choosing of the words..

Both books have been kept close to the original writings. When you compare old texts and documents found, dating from thousands of years, to the text we have now, it is the same.

The only adjustment you will see is the name of God, well the Christian name, was removed for fear of not using it correctly. But when compared to the old copies we have found, the name has been restored in some bible translations.

What has changed is the people that teaches about the bible, to continue having their people and money, they have changed the teaching to accomodate what people want to hear. The application of the words has change in some religions, but the words in the Bible are the same.

---- that, the application, the literal meaning of words changes every generation. Much less taking abstract linguistic concepts of one particular generation thousands of years ago, jumping the language barrier a couple of times at different points in the respective language's evolution, and then being outmoded within a generation and outdated + misleading within several more. You can see what I mean by reading the popular literature of 50-100 years ago, and how the perceptions and meanings are somehow... off... compared to modern, [i]living[/] language.

And now, we have to go back millennia to try and figure out nuances of dead languages no one is qualified to understand anymore, and modify stale, subtly incorrect existing translations with more incorrect perceptions. It's a waste of time, intellectual masturbation with no release. Utterly worthless.
