what RPM should I launch at?

Re:what RPM should I launch at?
Install a 2-step limiter, go to the track and do some tests. The rpm that gets you the lowest 60ft time is the ideal launch rpm.
The best compromise is usually a little wheelspin off the line on street tires. You want to get the engine into the power band as soon as possible.

Re:what RPM should I launch at?
Actually just got bored and decided to get off my lazy butt and go practice myself. for my car it seemed that 2800-3000rpms worked the best, anything over 3000 I just spun. I did about 8-10 starts in 1st and my coolant temp just shot up..oops! but now I feel a little more confident on racing

What kind of tires do you have? A 3,000rpm launch seems kind of low for lots of wheel spin. Do you slip the clutch at all? If you have good tires and still spin a lot launching at 3,000 your problem most likely your right foot
