I never use that nylon straw ---- either. For the boost gauge I'd use vac. hose with a clamp, and for the oil pressure I'd use a stainless line at least from the gauge to the engine bay.

I have a 3 foot -4 line in my misc. box from my old kits laying around if you want to give that whirl. You'd need a male -4 off the back of the gauge and one in the engine bay however you tie it in. 3 ft. wouldn't get you from the gauge to the back of the block, but it'll get to the engine bay and that's what I'd be concerned with.

Yeah that sounds good. Male -4 is just a fitting, from any hardware store right?
