What paint to use?
Well, to help with my overheating problem I think I'm gonna install a kick *** jdm yo hoodscoop. :P My buddies got a spare hood and I'm gonna order a hood scoop off egay. I'm gonna sand it down real good and primer it but what kind of paint should I use? Gonna paint it black. Also gonna paint my rims black too, what paint should I use?
Thanks

Re:What paint to use?
Powdercoating costs money and I'm cheap. My friend painted his hood with regular car paint from advanced auto and it was real rough and shitty lookin. He didn't sand it down though so that might be why. I guess I'll just do it and see what happens. I don't know much about bodywork but I'm gonna try it out anyways.
Anyone got some advice on painting the hood and wheels?
Do I need to primer or just sand it down and paint it?

Re:What paint to use?
well once you put ur hood scoop on and reinforce ur hood after you cut the hole use a couple coats of rustoleum primer and after it dries sand it smooth with a fine grit sand paper like 400 and spray it with a laquer paint and u should be good to go

I can't figure out what the hell is wrong with the overheating. It doesn't overheat unless I drive it hard for a while and then if I just take it easy it goes back to normal so to me it sounds like the cooling system just can't handle all the heat of the turbo. Mabye this will work, mabye it won't but it definitly won't hurt to get some nice cold air down on the turbo.

already put a new thermo, new radiator, new cap. Don't think it's the pump cause it would overheat all the time if it wasn't pumping right?
I'll flush it out today, come to think of it, when I changed the headgasket, I'm sure I got some little pieces of gasket outside the cylinder walls where the coolant goes. Forgot to flush it out.
