what octane fuel do you run??
 

I am about to run the crx on boost with a d16a6 and a t25 9ish psi what fuel do you think would be best? running TE for management.

I use 91 on the streets at 15psi. haha.

Just use the highest that's avail. to you. You'll be good. ;)

I use 118 leaded at the track. 8) Its good for the O2 sensors ;)

I started the crx up on the ps9 I got from you stealth, no boost yet but she sounded good ;) Still need my intercooler welded up.

i use 92 :)

102-108 octane aviation fuel is only 2 dollars a gallon at the airport here... less than 92 at the gas station :/

I go to Sunoco down the street and fill 'er up with 94! I'm interested in this airport thing, we have a small one close by, I wonder if they have the good stuff?

hope you guys like replacing valve seals and o2 sensors running leaded fuel ::)

O2 sensors and catalytic converters ---- themselves pretty quickly with leaded fuel. However leaded fuel is supposed to have helped the exhaust valve stems last on older engines because the lead is soft and lubricates the valve stem.

oh yeah, i forgot about the cat's getting ate up.. ---- it, none of my cars have those things so they are out of sight - out of mind.

Now the deal with the valve seals.. it's either you need hard seals to run leaded and soft for unleaded or vice versa.. I learned about it when working on an old tractor that was made for leaded, there are lots of retrofit kits for the older tractors to get them up to date with current standards.. I'll look into it later.

makes sense in a way, if the seals are too soft they can possibly clutter up with lead.

one way or the other has a problem with the seals just falling apart when using the wrong kinda fuel.. I just can't remember which combination it is.

In Florida I ran 93, In California I run POS 91

in usa i run 89 or 87 in my rx7. but in greece i usually run 101 in my volkswagen or my motorbike.
