Hmmm, ok, I can't seem to figure this one out. Once I get up to speed and I let off the gas a little and drop to about 11-13 vac (in Hg) and I hold it there steadily, I get this ultra high pitched noise that sounds like nothing I can describe... sounds like an extremely high pitched pinging noise... like that ultra sonic wistle that you use on dogs that humans can't hear... very high, but not loud. Could this be the blow off valve due to the fact that 11 in hg isn't sucking it open all the way, and I'm hearing a wistle between the moving air and the crack there? I don't remember hearing this before.. not sure that I would have noticed this sound though... I will try to record it if nobody has a clue what I'm talking about... another thing... the sound comes from all directions. It's so high that you can't pin point the location, it's just pure madness.

i don't get pinging, but i get a noise that's like someone running a finger around the top of a crystal glass and it's only at one point of vacuum. more than likely air resonating through the bov or wastegate.

probably the idle adjust screw leaking. I have heard that before...just throw some RTV silicone on it and forget it...

I think you're right about that because I was messing with it before I put the turbo on..
