What muffler are you using?
 

Hey guys, just wanted to know what's the best sounding muffler you guys ever heard? Not to be a rice or anything but just wanted to know. I need to get me another muffler. My muffler sounds ------- shitty.

most likely its not your muffler. what kind of piping do you have. any resonators or do you still have a cat??? i have one of the most riciest sounding mufflers of all but put on with 2 resonators and a high flow cat it changes the whole sound of it. nice and deep.

get yourself a good resonator, a high flow cat and a 5zigen fireball. sounds fantastic

i have an h22a with a 2 1/2 inch strait pipe with generic fart can and it sounds good

I have 2 1/4" piping w/ stock cat and high flow saber performance muffler. sounds bitchin, not ricey! I'd get you a sound clip but she's asleep for 6 mo.

straight pipe off a stock cat and resonator. cant hardly hear it.

2.5" inch piping off downpipe straight to apexi n1 3" inlet muffler. Sounds great. Deep.

greddy evo cat back...sounds great when i get on it, but silent when idling. turbo will probably change the way it sounds though.

King of all exhausts .... (2) 21" Comptech resonators into a piece of 3" piping into a 3" inlet fartbazooka (Apexi rip-off) out of a 4.5" tip. :) Scarres the neighbors. The tone is lower the Britney Spears IQ. - Matt

i had that before, mine sounded quiet, i loved it! now i have 2.5 pipe, stock cat, no resonator and a hayame muffler. it sounds good and deep, not ricey at all, but just a little too loud for me, like at highway cruisin for a while, ---- give me a headache :P i'll prolly just add a resonator..............

I'm running a oem cat with type r mid pipe and oem type r resonator with a 5zigen fireball axle back.. sounds mint.

I think it also depends on what motor you put the exhaust on. The 5zigen sounds better on the b18 than it did on my d16.

Yeah I too have the 5zigen fireball on my B18 and it's one of the nicest sounding that I've heard.

man i'm using a generic ass muffler that sounds like ass. I am not running a CAT at the moment, 2.5 inch exhaustpipes, and a resonator.

Anyone suggest any universal kind of muffler? Like weld to my exhaust pipes?

no muffler, no cat, 3 inch from DP back...and sounds ------ great!!! zero rice. it has two resinators one is like 48" and the other is about 36" i believe, it makes it quite....

stock civic dx piping, gutted cat, and a stock sentra spec v muffler.

nice and quiet and i can sneak up on a muthafucka and sneez all over their ass.

2.5 inch pipe obx ---- can strangely enough it sounds pretty decent for being obx

stock cat, Apex'i WS catback...very quiet hardly noticeable

Stock cat,2.25" pipe(cat back)to ------ rigged stock muffler ;)Its verry quiet and I figure the stock muffler is only robbing me like 1HP or so.

Well, I was just using a turbo for a muffler, but now I have a remus knock off with 2.5" piping and a high flow cat. still a little to loud for me.

I live in oregon so we don't have any emisson laws so I don't have any cat/muffler /or resinator sounds good with the turbo. loud as a mf without the turbo

ES Tuning 2.5" center in-center out with 2.25" from the dp back. Sounds really quiet with the turbo on, but loud with my stock manifold.
