What a ----------ing day...
CLIFF NOTES:
- I was ROBBED today, race CAR was stolen
- Within 8 hours, almost everything is recovered
So I get in my car today to go to the shop and there are 3 missed calls and 3 voicemails on my cell which I forgot in my car last night. I call the shop and they tell me the place was broken into...the till money was gone and the safe was gone as well. No alarm went off, no forceable entry...
So I am all worked up now...pissed, WTF...this is the second major theft in 2 months.
I get in to the shop, the safe is gone yes, but more importantly, the ----------ing RACE CAR is GONE!!!! Holy ----, now I knew this wasnt any import theft, all of my ECUs still there, all of my electrical and computer ---- there, none of that was touched. Whoever is was knew where the key to the car was and knew where the money spots and cigarettes were.
So luckily my alarm company keeps a log of all the alarming and disarming of the alarm and there was a disarm at 5:10 am...but no rearm until the morning guy was supposed to be there and everyone has their own number which made it pretty easy to figure it out.
He sung like a canary after being at the station for about 10 minutes...parked the car about 5 blocks away and I got all but about $1000 back.
The moral of this story is that no matter how much you think you know and can trust someone, think twice. This guy definitely had a past and he was open about that, he also worked his *** off for me and did it for very cheaply...come to find out he was working for the drug...heroin or coke. All the signs were there and I should have seen them or maybe I did but I just liked this kid too much. He took long trips to the bathroom, he was on top of the world one day and more depressed than anyone I know another. I saw him snorting up some Afrin here or there and he always claimed "dust" or "allergies."
Thankfully everything worked out and as quickly as it did...
Lesson learned, hopefully it doesnt happen again

But yeah, he wont be working here...I just am still baffled about the whole thing.
I think I need to drink a LOT tonight and I dont really drink
