what to major in?
 

well my moms tellin me i need a college degree...what should i major in? business? i dunno. i'm going to take online classes and just go to the school for tests and ---- like that...what would be good?

depends what you like, you like cars... major in automotive engineering. like computers? computer science or computer tech engineering. like money? major in business.

i have a business with my mom...but she said she wants to retire and have me have it to myself...but i need college experiance...:(...becuz she has it or something

I'm a Criminal Justice Major...senior year....I like it. Find something your intersted in and look around in that category for a major. Anymore it seems that all most jobs want is a degree, dosen't really matter what it's in just as long as you have the degree.

I'm majoring in Computer Science....programming and stuff.

I love it, it's a bit tedious at times, but it's almost exactly like working on my car without bloody knuckles and grimey hands.

Well, not quite the same, but there is a lot of problem solving, understanding how the computer works, and then making it all work together is pretty fun.

i was actually lookin at computer science...i love working with computers...but the business i do now has nothing to do with them lol

if you dont know what you want to major in then dont go yet, i did the same thing and just went took classes that sucked and i ended up never going and failing out now i just wasted like 1500 bucks..... :3

So you and your mom have a business and she thinks you won't be able to take care of it without college? Hands on training will own a college degree every day of the week. ;)

Although the one thing I still think was helpful to this day was Communication Studies that I took at a community college in CA. You will learn alot about communication stuff and it will help you with customer service, arguing and owning people, and telling people in polite ways to ---- off to the point where they won't blow up at you, but they get their feelings hurt.

haha thats funny. yeah my mom thinks with out a college degree i won't fully understand management...i told her i could learn how to tune uberdata...thats management...lol. she just looked at me like i was stupid and walked away and left for lunch :(

If you really wanna know how to manage a business the best you can, hire someone for $15 and hour to run the whole show for you. And keep them on thier toes. :6

I took some online classes my first year at the UW, Jesus i did terrible, there is no motovation to keep up in the class. They sound good in theory, but it usually ends up getting you in the ass come test time. Just my 2 cents. If you're only going to college to run your moms business, why not just take selected coarses you'd need, such as marketing, accounting, you know, round yourself out, you dont need to get that piece of paper, just the experience and the knowledge, but if it turns out you take what you need to take, and with only a few more credits you could get that piece of paper, then heck... why not! Like I say just my 2 cents.
