This is sort of the same way I approach religion. I'm christian, yet I don't take everything at face value. Some things just don't add up right, and it baffles me how extremely different some branches of christianity can be that all claim to be based off of the same bible.

And I'm not saying the bible is garbage, not by any means, but after the catholic church had people believing they needed to buy indulgences for relief of sins, how is it that one can be %100 sure that the inspiration of God through the authors of the bible have NEVER been skewed, altered, or modified in any way by anyone of "the church". For example, what if God didn't inspire a specific decree that a woman may never be a pastor (just using a lutheran example), but at the time women did not have the same status as men, and men probably wouldn't have wanted a woman to carry a position as important at the time as being a pastor. Therefore the blanks could've been filled in by those interpreting the bible.

It's just an example, and not necessarily my beliefs, but the point is that I become frustrated by people who blindly and stubbornly follow every word of a teaching, while at the same time shunning all who don't do the same. That is where religion breeds hate.

And also, it's totally unfair and ridiculous to associate a religion with acts of violence "in the name of" that particular religion. Cause I could sure as hell strap a bomb to my chest go to a crowded city block, and shout, "i slaughter these pagans in the name of allah" and blow myself and everyone nearby to pieces. Would that be a killing in the name of allah? ---- no.

Um.... The girl is an actress, the description said so, the band "The Bastard Fairies" are the ones trying to be different by attacking religion. Religion has always been a good scape-goat because advocates and extremists are always exactly that, advocates and extremists i.e. they aren't "normal" therefore not easily accepted, and cause social "friction", atleast in America. Religion doesn't fuel hatred, ignorance fuels hatred, and unfortunately religion claims the ignorant. The "enlightened" sway towards reason and science, much as "The Enlightenment" brought an end to the superstitious dark ages.

Freudians work wonders to push "layered thought" theories but totally forget his thesis on social integration based on habitual natures.
