it depends what you want from the car.....
if you're serious about not modding it, get a bimmer...there all around great cars and are very dependable if you keep up with matinence-not to mention the e36 M3 was the best handling car when it came out
if you wanna make this your little **** and boost the ---- out of it then get a civic....cheap and reliable not to mention a lot cheaper on the insurance end

EG hatches are dead sexy, but I have a thing in the back of my head that tells me to look for a nice little CRX Si. If I can find one, that will probably be my next car.
