Default What happens if my motor/tranny dies at the track?

I've blown a tranny at the track but I was able to make it home 40 miles grinding the only working gear. My motor is pretty much shot because of all the testing Ive been doing on it the past year, plus I generally rape the ---- out the car for fun. I want to head to the track this weekend, what happens if it cant make it home..

What happens if I totally blow the motor/tranny where it is not drivable. Is there a tow truck at most tracks?

Nick

no, but they will advise you on a good place to call... tracks have experience with this ----..... don't blow a rod tho, waiting around for them to clean up all the oil and ---- is ------- annoying.

Have some friends go with you, then have the car towed or get your own flatbed for it.

NPR will bann you for a month if you blow up anything and ---- up there race that night.

But NPR has tow trucks there most of the time.
The guys name is Booger, or thats what he calls himself. He changed me 120 from NPR back to Walker.

Get AAA plus. 100 mile tow range. I used it when I threw a rod at Fontana over a year ago.
If anything happens on the track, turn the car off, pull the car over to the wall and stop.
They ------ hate when people have problems and try to limp to the turn off, because then, there is a trail of fluid all they way down the track.
Bring some extra axles also.
