Default what grade aluminum?
what is the most common grade aluminum on cast pieces like intake manifolds, transmission housings, engine heads and blocks?

what is the best grade cast aluminum for welding to?

im pretty sure the stuff in heads and blocks is just all the ---- they throw into the furnace and heat it.

we have one at my work we put trannys and heads and ---- in

Not true, if it was the heat and cold cycles would flat wreak havock

they take a bunch of aluminum ---- and throw it in the furnace, and hey if an iron chunk get in there also thats aaa.... thats alloy
