This guy is selling an ss autochrome manifold on eBay and claims he doesn't know what brand it is.

wow, that was a pretty thorough *** write up. it probably cracked so he painted it and put it on ebay.

 

haaa haaaaa No look at the wasgate mounting.he had it extended it probably broke off an then the manifold cracked at the collector an so he had it welded an painted it an now pawning it off for it to break on some one else....Had it 2 months

 

no! the design is different, longer wastegate flange, and less welding on the flanges.

 

does anyone notice the ss-autochrome ads now say "lifetime warranty against defects/cracking." and goes on to say "these manifolds are 2.7mm thick, they will not crack"

maybe it's time to actually buy one?

 

I'd like to see how hard it is to contact that ------- and convince him to take the manifold back on warranty.

ok so what happens if you buy a ssautochrome manifold, then just have it welded up a little better. dont you think that would be ok?

Read the fine print, it probably says "as long as you don't bolt the manifold to an engine, and the manifold must be stored in a cool, dry place at all times or else the warranty is void"

 

i doubt it
