what does this sound mean

ok i went to go start the civic cause it hasnt been driven in a while. of course the batteries dead so i hook up the cables and start to jump it. after about 5 minutes i go to start the civic and it clicks really loud and then doesnt anymore. what the hell does this mean. is the battery dead, is there a bad ground? not sure why its doing this. the battery is also in the normal spot in the engine bay

Clicking usually means you have some starter problems. Try hitting it with a large object (serious here) while someone tries to crank it. :P

If that doesn't fix it, most likely a new battery will.

If there is no juice in the battery.. it'll take more than 5 minutes to charge it, since "jumping it" doesn't give it the trickle it needs to actually charge the battery.

Charge it on a charger. The clicking means that your main relay isn't getting enough juice.
