this moringing i fire up my car and heard this dadadada sound from the engine and yesterday i had a leak in my fuel line by the fmu so i fixed it , i had to take off the fmu and fpr could i have switched a hose ? any extra info you guys need ?

yeah you will know I use to detonate with my shitty fmu at 8 psi. It's not a good fealing. from what I remember pretty much just like Hotrex said.

do a google search for a .wav file of engine pinging.

thats a good idea and yes i found some thanks,it just started is it cause its running lean (im running na) ? or too many miles on the engine ?

Can you provide a link for other people to get the file? I have a sound file, but that would be annoying to have to individually pass it out to people.

Thats exactly what pinging sounds like...

Ever drive an older car up a hill? When you put the gas pedal down and the engine makes a constant "creaking" sound that is it pinging. It sounds like there are a bunch of marbles vibrating on your valve cover.

Pinging happens when your mixture runs lean and your car is about to detonate

Knock sounds are a bit deeper, the sound comes from deeper in the engine (nearer to the crank) It might sound a bit like the sound a stick stuck in your wheel would make, a continuous and rhythimic thud, do a google for "knock sound" and you can find a ".wav" file of engine knock

Knock is usually caused by engine heat, oil leaks, fuel preasure loss, too little fuel (way way tooo little fuel)
