I like how these lights look for the WRX. They kind of look like the rally car's lights, except for the turning signal. On the rally car, they are all black, and the turning light is just one orange bulb, but those cost around $1,200. These are $90+25 shipping on Egay. My concerns are first of all how ricey is this going to be and how good will they fit on the car, being so cheap.

i say if u like them, get em. even if they dont fit perfect, its not like u blew 1200 bucks. i think they would look pretty good, ive seen something similar to them and it looks good.

I was thinking that if I get them I would pop out the clear pieces and paint it black, except for an are around the bulb so it still reflects a little for the turning light. That way I think they would look better.

Yes, but I've never been much of a painter and don't want to ---- things up, that's my only problem. I usually start good and then somehow mess up while spraying. It's definately cheaper and looks good, but if I mess up then it'll look like ass.

if you like em, get em, but yeah, the only thing i would be worrying about is how the fitment is. they look good to me though.

It looks like the whole light disassembles and you have nothing to mask...Idiot proof easy to paint Looks like they used a flat black primer...even easier

in my best cajun voice "YOU CAN DO ITTTT!"

Really though, those eGay lights will need to be dissassembled and rebuilt w/silicone gell to keep from leaking, and in a few years will fade...Your Rex is new and will look retarded with faded headlights w/water in them

The thing is that there are more and more WRX's around here and I just want to look different but not ricey different. I guess the paint on the lights would do it also, and might cost me $3.00 and some time.

And teg the 20's are ordered, they'll be here next week ;)

I'm just going to save the money for my planned ECU reflash, $555 but worth it, another 30whp, much better than lights. I just needed someone to reassure me of what to do. Thanks people, for helping me eliminate these ricey symptoms. I feel better now

actually the rims have a shorter side wall w/ better tires so, yes. and the prev owner did the engine bay. Not my doing... just like your rims right? :P

I've seen those lights in person... they dont look all that bad but in my opinion the stock wrx lights were designed poorly to begin with and I was never a big fan of them. From the ones that I've seen and from the blacked out stock light housing in the pic above.... I'd have to say go with the blacked out stock light housing, they look so much cleaner and doesnt give you that "I want to be different" attitude. Its a unique and subtle change. People will look at your car and go somethings different about this one... and keep looking and looking and will eventually figure out something subtle like black out light housing. Ok I'm BSing outta my ass right now, but there is some truth to it... subtle yet unique is what I strive for. No wings, not BLING BLING wheels, nothing in your face except for the air coming out of the BOV...

Well I'm normally one to brand rice on people. I prefer stock looking vehicles, but those headlights look alright. The only WRX headlights I like are the ones on the Rally cars, guess those are the JDM ones?

do it yourself. why spend a shitload ( i know i baught some ) and get a piece that needs to be converted to hid. some dont come complete. i ended up selling it and painting it for my brother and selling it again for regular ones.point being they look good on black wrxs. but other than that, its not too good.

Who cares what you do, it's your car, you drive it, so if you think it looks cool, more power to you. People flame me for my slow ricer, I don't car, I like how it looks and i'm the only one driving it :)
