they figure damage, via shop rates for new parts and repairs. my dad hit a deer, broke a corner light, skull dented cab beside the door, cracked the grill. $650 in shop work, he opted for the check. $629 later, a plunder on the cab, new corner for $20, and some epoxy fixed it

Well, I already have a shop estimate at 5600 dollars, the high book value is 4900 dollars in perfect shape, so all he is going to do is look at it and the body shop quote and say yep, this car isnt worth 5600 dollars correct? lol

not really. they may just give it to you, or not.

thye will either pay to get it fixed or give me book value correct?

they will write you a check for repairs if theyre less than book value. if book is less... you get book

and if they do total out your car they will cut you a check and you can ask to buy it back so you should get it for like maybe 500-600 and they might just take that off the top of the money they will send ya O0
