What camshafts do you guy's run?
 

I'm trying to save up some money for cam's for my ls/vtec for boost. I've alwayse felt that they are too expensive but now I'm feeling like if I have the money and it is the "only" thing that I haven't done that I mise well. So I was wondering what you guy's are running for camshaft combinations on you boosted setup's. I'm working up to obtaining the 20+psi mark and looking for lots of power so with the price not being too much of a determining factor.. I'd like to know what's tried and proven for you guys..?

GSR or ITR. Anything but stocker B16's.

have you guy's noticed a significant difference with the cam change over stock? or was it negledgable(sp)?

Nobody has actually told this guy what he was looking for :S

he didn't ask for only what cams you had, he asked if there was a difference with going to those cams and how they were affected by boost.

I'm sorry I don't have a ton of useful information either, I just put a crane 14 cam in my Neon, but that doesn't really apply to you, sorry.

ITR/CTR cams are wonderful for boost. Go checkout www.forums.evans-tuning.com and search for his dyno plot B16 vs. GSR cams. Once you're amazed by that, know that the ITR/CTR cams are even better ;)

Delta 272, idles lumpy but ive seen nothing but good results on the net with it, my car pulled nice, but I did everything at once

glad to see somebody is running a delta 272 with boost. i heard some people say it has too much overlap to be an effective cam with boost. then some people say it works well with boost. i think i'm going to keep it in my f22 and see how it does with 15lbs.

yeah im boostin on mine also, it pulls real nice but like the other guy said i built mine all at once (so its hard to tell what the cams are doing)

I already have a set of JG Engine Dynamics titanium retainers and dual wound springs in my head from before, and wasn't sure if it'd be wrong to use something like Crower Cam's if I don't use Crower's valvetrain as well..?

ITR Exhaust Cam/CTR Intake Cam <---- ALot of people runniing this not necessairly on HMT

Crower and Jun cams are way too baller for HMT, jake. I thought you figured that out on your own O0

I like mild NA cams for big boost, Rocket regrinds are nice and inexpensive, and YES you see and feel gains in power and spool.

For your average 300-400 whp ride, stock cams do a solid job. For the big power monsters you spend a lot of time yanking your dick to no avail, where a cam change would pave the road.

BTW, just say 00-01 ITR cams or just say CTR cams. Same thing.

i don't know about how they react to boost but i just put a set of jg 404's in my friends ls, and they rip like a mother. so my guess is it would cut spool time by a marginal amount. im still debating whether i should get a set of jg 1001's for my dohc zc
