what is the best car alarm to buy?

ok, as you know my car was broken into, and I need a car alarm now, I want something where you just touch the car and the alarm will sound, do you have any suggestions?

Clifford and anything by DEI (viper) are classic choices. I would get one of those two way pager deals ;)

for now my truck is way too low profile for anyone to break into it.. the shotgun in the backseat works plenty good for a theft deturrent.

You say this every single time someone mentions something about an alarm. Oh, and you don't need to reply to every thread, we already know that you have an opinion on EVERYTHING. ::)

Oh, and as far as an alarm, whatever you need, let me know. I got the mad hook-up on any of the Audiovox Prestige line of alarms. I love both the DEI and the Audiovox shtuff. I actually run both parts in my whip.

I've had a Clifford ACE 500 Alarm in my CRX since I bought it when I was 19 (9 years ago). I'll definately vouch for their quality..

hahahaha. :D

All alarms are pretty much the same. Just buy a prestige and set the sensitivity where you want it. A backup battery is a good thing too. The taiwanese two way pagers are a joke though. ;)

The point of a gun inside the vehicle obviously points to the owner having a gun on his/her person. I live in a zero crime area, when I go into the grocery store I just leave the keys in the ignition.

theres crime everywhere. and i dont see why you would leave a shotgun in the back seat. yeah they might think "oh ---- this guy has a gun" but now they do to. and its not registerd in there name...

Didn't know about that getting sued part. Oh and I wasn't serious about having a gun for a car alarm guys lol... or was I? ;)

i think the 2 way pagers are a life saver i havent had any problems with em and i been using em for the last 2 years. they are great when you are in a store and can see whats going on with your car, or when you live in an apt and they set your parking space forever away from your apt. :)

if it wasnt for my pager alarm my crx would have been stolen the night before i sold it, alarms dont seem to scare people but when you rack your gauge at em it sure does :)

in germany they have the option to have flames shooting out from the side of the car. I think that'll do it.

Any basic alarm, and an autoloc will scare away most of the punkass highschool kids trying to steal your car. Nothing will stop a pro, really.
