What antivirus do you guys use?
 

My browser is loading slow as ----. I'm talking slower than dial up, but programs that connect to the internet run fine. I'm kinda weary of downloading torrents from places that aren't private since I don't run a antivirus program. What is a good one you guys use?

I don't want one that takes over. I have used McAffe and Kaspirsky in the past and hated them.

Kaspersky and AVG are the best. If you don't like Kaspersky, get AVG. Even the free version rocks.

Yeah I know, my crap is going so slow the search is timing out. It won't even load my google search results. This and demonoid are the only sites that don't time out :X

I also use symantec, If you are in the military you can get it off the AKO website, or the equivalent for free.

Don't use any :P

If you're using explorer, go to advanced settings and choose reset. Run adaware and avg/kaspersky...I'd go for kaspersky since it's an antivirus you have to buy, they probably get virus definitions updated quicker.

If it's a virus spamming the ---- outta the internet with your connection, everything should time out. If it's your browser, most likely something else.

Got AVG Pro from Demonoid. Found four "possible trojans". Deleted them. Nothing. Deleted almost every program except the stuff it wouldn't let me. Nothing. Then noticed other things like dos prompt/avg/Oblivion were lagging. Cleaned out the inside from dust and switched network cards and seems to be running ok.

Yeah I had used it before. I haven't had to run one it about 3 years, so wasn't sure what was up to date anymore. The trojans were in cracks, so I guess I will have to scan my downloads from now on.

Any good antivirus will automatically scan any downloads, or anything in general you are trying to use. You really shouldn't have to manually scan anything.
