What it´s this

I got a TC05-12A turbo from a Mitsubishi cordia, and this turbo came with this EGR Valve (the one whit the long pipe), anyone knows what its his function?

to attach the intake manifold to the exaust manifold so the egr valve can recirculate exaust gas :1
