west coast turbos problem

has anyone bought anything from westcoastturbos.com? because my buddy just purchased a t3/t04e 60trim with polished housing and the package has not arrived. we never got a tracking number either. it has been 3 weeks - he doesnt respond e-mails anymore and his voicemail is full. we are a little worried over here coniserdering we just spent around $550 and nothing shows for it.

not saying he is a con, just want to know whats up with the package.

Re: west coast turbos problem

I bought from the initial group buy of the T3/T04b's for $399. Theo was a tad slow in response to any inquiries, but always friendly none-the-less. It took him a day or two to answer most of my messages. When I was confused about when it would be shipped he told me "We just push the button and have no say so after that." So his turbo builder might have bailed on him, or jacked price, or some other horrible happening to his business, but that's no reason to drop the ball and close shop... 8 (

I noticed after the start of the group buy he kind of avoided this place and stayed on Honda-tech for a bit, then dissappeared. Go figure.

There's a reason he's on the banned sellers list and not allowed to sell on this site

if we dont ever get the turbo cant we sue his ass? i mean, my buddy has a reciept showing that he spent blah blah with westcoast turbos on blah date. and he sent it with a card, which means that the bank knows what account he transfered his money to, then take that account and find out who owns it. right?

Taken from a different thread, on the same theory. :-\

Take it as advise, not bashing.

i would wait before doing anything drastic, it took mine a long ass time to arrive as well, i think it was almost a month. it took like two weeks for the money to come out of my account, but i got it so i'm not bitching.

well i am in no way sticking up for or being told to say this.. but the store "westcoast turbo's was iguess like a two man job and then one went back to school a few weeks ago.. so all the orders he got in he has to do by him self.. and if u read the original post on his for sale thing.. it does clearly say allow 2-3 weeks for orders to ship.. he does the turbo's to order so it take a while. and he has tons of orders so its gonna obv take a while i was starting to panic to. but then he finally email all of us.. and i got my tracking number a few days ago.
http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?action...3154460500238&
so he is legit. he is just kinda slow.. but he does answer ur emails just not fast at all. i heard he had a comp problem and doesnt get allota chances to go online so idk.... just relax a wait till you will get ur turbo

i had the same exact thing happen to a junkyard part i ordered for a couple hundred bucks a while back.

guy never responded after i placed the order and soon his voicemail was all full.

I ended up going to my bank and filing a fraud claim, since it was paid with my visa checkcard. I got they money all back from the bank.

Anymore with all the little companies popping up, i think that i'm going to stick to the compaines that i know will treat me right. Sure you may save a few bucks, but for the piece of mind i get i will stick with the good well established people on here.

Wow... you are really sticking it to us. First on h-t, now on here

First of all, lets get this straight. We never took your money. We don't charge anyone untill their order ships just because we build every order individually, and we don't want to hold money for something we haven't delivered - So please stop making it look like we shafted/cheated you. Your order didn't ship or even get made for that matter because we couldn't process your check. I emailed you and left messeges saying this. Our phones didn't get answered because we were slammed with orders from our Christmas special as well as loosing 1 of 3 people who run the business. I even came on here and posted that we were slammed and to please allow 2-3 weeks for items to arrive.

We don't have high mark ups/profit margins like Full-Race or Pheonix turbo that allow us to hire someone just to sit around and answer phones. We are DIY'ers/enthusiest just like you, and we do this because we love the scene and we want to give people an option who don't want to spend $6-7-800 for a turbo. Were not trying to take over the turbo business or make tons of money. We just enjoy the scene and enjoy talking with and helping people, so when you go around dragging our name through the mud, it kind of makes us think twice.

As I said in the post on H-T, I sincerely appologize for the inconvinience, and I do stand behind the discount we offered you, but I just don't think you went about this the right way. You could have just canceled your order and got your turbo from somewhere else? Why post all of these "Westcoast-Turbo Screwed me" posts all over the net?

I had received my T3 from WCT and I got the HMT discount. It didnt take long maybe 6-7 days. They have responded to my emails and I would give them the benefit of the doubt. I like to pay with Amex whenever I purchase online, they are quick to dispute a purchase. Paypal was even able to credit my money from an ebayer who sold me a bad T3. Anyway it looks as if you got their attention now, Im sure you will work everything out. ;)
