Went to the track. Good news and bad news

First run with a ~2.3 60' I ran 13.55 @ 111!!!

second run, my headgasket went. It's gonna take a while to fix because I'm lazy.

With a better launch and quicker gear changes I think I could have managed a 113-114 :(

KA head gaskets are not as easy as D's... trust me I use to work at a Nissan Dealership. I'm sure flatrate Warranty is well over 8 hours on the newer K's... Everything from dropping the pan, R&R the front timing cover, timing chain etc.

---- think ka headgaskets are a pain? try a vg30de headgasket, or better yet a vg30dett headgasket, lookin at 12 - 15 hours, maybe more, and a recomneded engine pull from the dealer.

Has anyone tried MLS (multi layered shim) gaskets? They are supposed to be the next best thing besides O-ringing your block when its comes to preventing hg blowout. I was wondering what people thought of them

get some slicks and reduce your ET's. mph is great but if your just spinning who cars. nice time tho jsut that trap speed is good for low 12's even with the weight of a 240.
