Well last Sunday i took the Civic to the track for the first time.
It had been running real shitty for a week and the bastard continued to do so when it counted.
The organisation sucked balls because they "lost?" a bunch of timeslips so i only got one out of three.
I made only 3 runs and stopped because it started raining and i couldn't find what was wrong with me loosing boost.
Funny thing is though...when i decided to quit racing for the day and pulled into the grass,I parked it in front of a Peugeot with a turbo...now i only knew of 1 turbo'ed Peugeot so it had to be none other than Dutchpug and it was! cool stuff!
Anywayz...enough jive for now...

What did you run? And what's wrong with your car?

Why did you take it racing when it wasn't working correctly? LoL... asking for trouble!

Re: Went to the track....big bummer but also hella fun, pics inside

I had allready payed for it...so crappy running or not..i was gonna go.And maybe i was able to fix something at the track..you never know.
Well somehow if i floor it the power drops real bad, while if i go about half throttle it picks up real good.Wastegate sounds funky too (internal)
Whatever it is...don't matter, the car's going to the junkyard anyway.
Last run in the rain on slicks:
r.t. : 0.871
60ft: zip..the assholes didn't measure that
1/8 mile time :11.547
1/8 mile speed: 105.42 km/h=65.88MPH
1/4 mile time:17.668
1/4 mile speed: 128.34km/h=80.21MPH

Looser <---duhh

i dont think you need a helmet for a car that runs high 17's >:D
at our local track you don't need a helmet unless you do 13.99 or better, not that it matters, i guess every track is different.

yep, i lurked for a LONG time before signing up, and then i only posted a few times here and there.

and basically if you tuck your tail and run away when they give you ----, well then, dont expect this to be a happy place for you. you have to come back with a good reply and give it back to them.

once you do that, you just have to keep in mind that its the internet.

once you get that straight, then HMT is a fine place

So how did Peiters new setup run?

Re: Went to the track....big bummer but also hella fun, pics inside

It's all good...i done removed the broomstick...hehe.

Pieter didn't go very well either...for details you gotta ask him.
Traction was a huge issue that day because of a constant drizzle and on top of that they demonstrated a V6 lawnmower that was throwing oil allover the track.
Later on it dryed up and e.t.'s dropped, fastest Honda was a 5g hatchback doing a 12.41.

Re: Went to the track....big bummer but also hella fun, pics inside

Yeah, I was at the track too, so was Semnos.

I lost the complete maps at 1:00 am the night before, and had none on file (damn save function was not working on my management software). So had to do a long night highway tuning ;D. I had major cutting out problems at 5500 rpm (turned out to be over fueling, but the wideband kept reading 12.5... still don't really know how that can be.... maybe one injector failing?) Anyway, at about 5 am i was fed up with it and still had a car that did not run any good.

Still i went to the track since I had already paid for it. Did one run on a wet strip @ 8 psi, missing third gear big time, with lots of wheelspin and had to shift at 5000 cause of the fueling problems... drove a 16.1 haha :-X don't know the speed, never got a time slip.

Plan to have the car sorted on the 30th of april for 1/4 runs in Bitburg Germany, hope for high 12's on 14 psi.

Semnos ran a 14.3 @ 10 psi, with a bad run on a dry track.

haha, the 'night before' tuning sessions. That pic of your car w/ the Tree is badass. You guys take any more pics.
Good to see some non-cobblestone raceworthy strips.

Yeah it's a nice strip, but not a permanent one, they just set it up a couple of times a year at the Zandvoort racetrack and use the straight, downside is that when you're done racing...it ain't easy to get off of the track. That's also due to the fact that they where doing drift sessions on a other part of the track.
