I have seen a few of his bays, and they do look nice. Im not gona lie. But I would not spend that kind of money he asks for(but I dont care what people think about my bay). But I could very well see people that have a show car spending that. It would be like someone saying they wouldnt spend 10k on bodywork and paint on a show car. I know all kinds of people that have spent that kind of money on old muscle cars.

I'm glad Chase knows wiring color vs trim level across the OBDs. It's useless knowledge for what I or you do, Chris. I have a hard time explaining to intelligent men why wiring tucks often go wrong as electricity doesn't follow a logical set of rules to people who can only visualise 3D (physical) space. I doubt he knows as much as he should to be molesting electrical systems at 20... all that work and I get the feeling he maintains the shoddy OEM ground network. As a technician, I'm with chris - keep the OEM routing please.

I'm glad the guy's passionate about what he does, Adam, and that you enjoyed meeting him. It's called good people, and what being a gearhead is about. Anyone who cares that much and works that hard will continue to learn - give him 5-10 years, he'll have a bag of tricks instead of one notable skill.

Boost, go build an engine harness sometime. I spent a 5 hours on mine and there's still misc work to be done. Add in extra time to reroute and/or re-lengthen pretty much every wire, fabricate alternate brackets to hold it since the OE ones were just thrown away, and toss in bling bling spin-on connectors, braided sleeve in seventeen different sizes, adhesive lined heatshrink, quality solder and HOLY ---- it gets expensive. If you think $1000 is a lot of markup you should see what a contractor charges sometime.

BTW, touting a post count formed 99.9% of GD social posts is invalid. Sorry, you have less tech to offer HMT than HT does. Since you recently got old, grumpy, and in need of diapers, HMT wouldn't mourn your loss much. If anything a few OGs would miss the guy from a few years back who had a sense of humor.

It was a good day. Sunny without being too bright, cool but not cold, I got to fart in some poor sucker's sweet Recaros for money, and then I tuned a NA D16 that beats the ground enough that a dude in a Camaro did a doubletake at a traffic light when I was fiddling tip-in/outs on the street.

It's been right at a month, and I shaved the sides/etc earlier this week to blend it in with my head which I hit with a #1 guard. The only untouched bit is the tip of my chin.
