Went For My First BOOSTED Drive!! (PICS!!)
 

OK, well, I 've been a member of this board for about a year and today I finally got my Civic out on the road with boost. It was nice, at first, but then my day went to ----. She hit 6 psi 2 times and then blew off a charge pipe. Oh well, I got to feel it pull a little bit right? It was all worth it. So, anyway, I was going to my local shop to have it all finished up, i.e. get the rest of my downpipe made and have it dyno-tuned ( www.xoticmotorsports.com ) So, I get to the shop and I meet the guy there that is doing the tuning, Chris, he's a cool ----------er, he works there. The other guy that I talked to on the phone didn't know that I needed the rest of my D/p made, he only thought I needed tuning. Problem is that they only have 2 lifts and there was no way that Chris could get the 2 cars that were on the lifts off today. So, I gotta take it back later this week or next weekend. This gives me some time to fix the charge pipe that blew off. I guess my HMT project is at about 92% complete. I was hopeing for 100% today, but patience has its virtues, right? I'm gonna go out and snap some pics of my install and post them up. I just want to thank all of my HMT bretheren for being there to help out when I needed it. ;D

Thanks, theres a few ricey things on it, but most of the rice is from a few years ago, and I haven't gotten around to de-ricing it all the way yet, the HMT was more important at this time.

I just went out and washed it after taking those pics, so its a little shinier now. It was looking rough, especially because right after taking those pics, a pterydactol flew overhead and took a dump on it :-[ .

Dang, I really like that setup, and your car is clean as hell man, nice job!

The only two things I'd get rid of is the yellow "H" symbol, and paint your gauge cluster housing black. Other than that, sweet ass ride man.. GJ, and be sure to post when you get this stuff completed!

Thanks guys. The Apexi was lovingly placed into a special plastic cutout that I made to replace the air vents at that spot. Steve, I gotta call you. The yellow Honda symbol is in the trash as soon as I can find a stock one or a black one. The gauge suround will be painted back to black as soon as I get all the turbo bugs worked out.

I made it out of ABS plastic, I heated it up and formed it with a heat gun.

The yellow gauges are on the way out the door, and I'm gonna make some kinda shroud for the VAFC so that its not so high profile, but I love having it there. As far as pics of the IC piping at the IC, I'll have to make some this week when I take my bumper off to reattatch the blown charge pipe.
