I was just talking to the old man on the phone at home. He was telling me that a mate of his went out with two young guys in an 18 foot "fizz boat" with a 130 honda on the back over the bar on the west coast, left at 9am, came back at 1pm, fished for 45 minutes total and caught the following :

3 striped marlin :
104kg
93kg
135kg

45mins!!

He ended up with one of them chunked and in his chest freezer for smoking, but somehow the freezer ended up unplugged .... "what's that smell" ... "oh ----"

So 2/3 of that fish (part already eaten) and a bunch of scallops etc ended up being dumped back at sea rotten :-(

WHAT A WASTE :-(

Pretty cool effort nabbing three in that much time though! and brining 300kg of fish back in over a bar with a small boat like that.

i always go bass fishing on this lake where i grew up. i try to go after work early in the morning or i night. give me a flashlight, pack of smokes, calm water, a jitterbug lure, and needle nose pliers(cause they swallow the ------ lures half the time) and i'm good to go


this is like a 4-5 pounder large mouth wich is pretty good size for this lake.

That lake looks highly mineral defficent, I can see the bottom!
