Well well well, a bit of a decision.
I have a 91 Civic Si and a 79 El Camino SS. I am at the point now where I really don't know which car to mod. The Civic will be my daily driver (usually ride with my GF to and from school, so I rarely drive it). The El Camino was my grandfathers so it's just not going anywhere. I can't decide which car to mod. I drive the Civic more ofter and it's a stick, the El Camino is just classic and is a auto.
The El Camino has a 350 crate engine putting out 230hp (I believe). The rest is stock (besides the redone interior). The Civic has the following: 97 D16Y8 JE SRP 10.5:1 c/r pistons Eagle H beam rods DC 4-2-1 header Akimoto Short Ram Exel racing rims Header back 2.5" exhaust Morroso plug wires MSD external coil XTD stage 2 clutch Parts for the Civic not installed: OBD0>OBD1 jumper harness P28 chipped and data cable OBD2 Dizzy AiResearch .42/.48 T3 (internal wastegated) Downpipe SpoolingPerformance log style manifold DSM side mount IC Before I could go turbo I would still need injectors, wideband, BOV, and IC piping. On the other hand V8's can make a lot of power "cheap". What would you guys do? I really can't decide. If I do fix up the El Camino the parts I have for the Civic will be sold and motor sold (install a stock motor). So that will fund the El Camino. |

Civic. Im not a fan of el-caminos. Not only that, when the el camino would be done, you couldnt afford to drive the beast anyways with gas being 2 and 1/2 bucks a gallon.
