to the guy that spent 6k on his wife or whatever, i feel your pain, my girls engagment ring was about 8k, but her dad is a jewler so we got it at cost wich is about 3k, thank ------- god i got a discount on something, but the good thing is that its appraised for 8k so if she loses it, we can buy her another ring and i can buy some toys :)

same here, our renters insurance covers her ring. if she looses it, i would get back the cost of the ring at the time i bought it at. not what its worth. :-\
