no, most of today's cars comes with a/c radio/ cd changers etc fuckloads of creature comforts

when the real muscle car era began people bought bare-bones stripped down models of those cars with big block options

back then the philosophy was big motor+no options+RWD+ relatively light car

today it's small motor+options+RWD+decently heavy car

yeah i know the SRT-10 and viper have the 8/8.3L V-10 but most people can't afford that, the most reasonable biggest motor available is the 5.7l or the 6l in the GTO

maybe i'm just picky or too much of a purist, i don't even consider my stang a muscle car

I can see what you're saying. It'd be nice if you could get a bare-bones Stang or something of the like with a 500 whp motor

exactly today's cars are too flashy and comfortable for me to consider them muscle cars

i'd be happy with any factory car with no options (not even a/c) with a 400HP motor factory

Word, I had no A/C, a broken window crank, and manual door locks in my Rex. Not to mention it road like a russian tank at times. Too bad I didn't have a 400hp engine though

Yeah, I started out with no radio and one speaker Then my cousin gave me his radio and 3 speakers, that was nice. Even hooked it up to my OEM equalizer. Old Skool :P

what do you mean....there are cars out there like the GTO, the SRT-4, the colbalt, the new saturn, svt focus, the hemi trucks/magnum, all kinds of "muscle" out there IMO. sure its styleish, but back then flashy was a vynal bucket seat. They also had wood grain steering wheels, ---- like that in the 60's was flashy. the govt is much more regulating now, so that is kinda holding things back a bit also, imo. I think there is muscle cars all over the place.
