hello to everyone im new here and love this website and info. so i been reading and trying to learn how all the turbo stuff works. i recently bumped into a friend from high school and he had his eg d16z6 turbo perfect timing because i wanted to get more info on it and in watching in person was perfect. i was a little confused on some stuff he had and took some pictures of it. first was the wasgate i havent seen something like the way he had it i have a few pictures of it . and second to what i been reading u need a resistor box in order for your turbo i also took a picture of a box with hoses used for vaccum lines. can some one explain to me if this is just a ghetto method of using a turbo set up or if that works with out effecting your motor?

The wastegate plumbing looks a bit jury rigged and like it might damage the turbo inlet hose, but it could work. The other item is a vacuum distribution block; not sure what it's being used for.

The resistor box is something Honda's ECU uses to drive low impedance injectors and a lot of Hondas had them stock.

I didn't really like his setup he just had a lot of stuff laying around like he did it in a hurry but of well his car. So If you use 450cc injectors will u still need a resistor box?

What is the resistance on the injectors? Because you can get 450 cc injectors in low impedance (does need a resistor box) and high impedance (which doesn't). Low impedance are typically 2-4 ohm; high impedance is usually 10 ohms or more.
