Wassap HMT

the name is Greg, got 2 '79 Malibus, one is finally getting turbo'd, flanges come in tomorrow (yippie)

i know i'm not in the general demographic for this site, which i see is mostly hondas, but just cuz i drive & love my malibus, doesn't mean i hate hondas (i don't, hell i'd love to have a EG6 to play with), i just hate ricers, haha

i'm going to use 2 T3 turbos that came off of mid-90s Volvo 840 5cylinders, got them for 50bucks a piece (one even with the downpipe & a charge pipe)

its going to be a learning experience, since it'll be a backyard, blow-thru carb set up, but it should be ALOT of fun too >:D

heres some pics

thanks, the build will start sometime soon (in about a month), after i take the car to the track one more time, & i'd like to have it dyno'd before the transformation starts ;)

your talking chrysler, they have /6s, '78 & up CHEVY malibus never have in-line6s...just V6s :y

my mother has a '72 Dart with a /6 tho...

& well, i plan to build up my roller-cam 305 sometime next year hopefully, if not, i got another truck 305, that i could throw together, just needs a crank :-[

Bah, maybe a straight six? or did they all come with just v6's? basically he has a ---- engine and is trying to sell it for too much.

I'd say 350 or 400 or bust :P

again, '78 & up malibus never had an inline 6, only V6s

& i had a 350 once, it was too slow, my father does the 350 thing, he has one in his '78 Regal T-type, & its much slower then my car, how much? i dunno, he hasn't raced it yet, but its prolly at least a second slower, if he ran HEI instead of points, it'll clear up his ignition problems, but no, hes too old fashioned

heres an old pic of the Buick
