Re: vw jetta fuel pump help..plz
I'm not following you on fuel pumps.
If they are getting loud they are dying.
If you are replacing pumps without replacing filters - possibly clogged filters - you are trying to kill the new pump, period.

Re: vw jetta fuel pump help..plz
I had a 92 jetta and that thing broke literally every other day.
They have two fuel pumps, one in the back that from your enrish suggested your friend replaced there is also an inline one which is prob the one your hearing. I'd replace that beast flush the fuel system and replace the fuel filter. problem solved....

Re: vw jetta fuel pump help..plz
ok, as far as i know there is one actual pump, then there is also a transfer pump wich is in tank wich is used to fill up the fuel resevoir then the actual pump pulls out of there, the actual pump should be inline , the transfer pump is in the tank.
what injection system are you running? if its 87 it should be CIS, it it could be digifant, are there a bunch of stainless steel lines under your hood that run to the head? i can try and get a better diagnoses once i know the fuel setup
