VTEC in R/C cars (pics!)
Well just recently I decided to pull my old RC10GT out of the closet and try to get it running when I decided I should look for a new motor for it. Well after browsing a bit I found this on www.rc10.com
http://www.rc10.com/newprod/2005/lrp31800_z18s_600.jpg That is linked directly from their site, no photoshop voodoo. As far as I know it's not equipped with any kind of variable valve timing (come on, it's a 2 stroke), but I think it's funny / cool as ---- that it's on there. |

Yeh for shure..thats something way different , those things are heaps of fun ..max reffs !!
All it needs now is a turbo.. |
Re: VTEC in R/C cars (pics!)
could have variable powervalve timing ;)

Re: VTEC in R/C cars (pics!)
They make superchargers for these things, but I think the general consensus on those is that they're more of a novelty item than anything.

Re: VTEC in R/C cars (pics!)
I never got the purpose of have a really fast RC car. I mean whats the point?

I always wanted to build a crazy rc car, but I don't know the first part of thier secret language. The motor names (numbers) don't seem to really identify them at all.
|
Re: VTEC in R/C cars (pics!)
haha that ---- is SICK! :P
Hey if you wanna buy a new r/c engine, how about buying my brand new RB .12, i think it's a big block too. If you know r/c, you know that the RB motors are sick ish. ;)

The really fast car is something that you can drive and an adrenaline rush. There's nothing exciting about standing there twisting knobs on a controller. The really fast RC car is just a wate of money that goes from 0 to out of sight in 2 seconds. Also nobody ever got laid cause they have a really cool RC car. :-\

|
Re: VTEC in R/C cars (pics!)

Re: VTEC in R/C cars (pics!)
i used to have a rc10gt, i stopped using it cause it would always break. the teeth on the spur gear would always get grided down cause it was plastic.

It could have variable port timming, I always thought that would be cool. Like variable length intake runners, but the runners go to different ports, so the ports can have different timming, and a valve switches between them. |
