Vtec Controller
 

I've been a long time member and this site has helped me turbo a Prelude and a Civic but I now have a GSR. I don't plan on forced induction but have the aem intake, dc sports header and dc sports exhaust. Now I am looking at a Vtec controller. I know you can adjust the vtec engagement point but how easy is it to install and adjust vtec correctly or can it hurt? Is it woth it? How much will it really help? I used the search funtion but did not find any useful info.

If your on a budget and want a decent vsfc a Fields would be the way to go.If your a baller and want the bling factor along with full display and more tuning ability then go with the Apex VAFC.

As far as the vtec goes it really wont do much unless you get cams and can gears an get it all tuned on the dyno.

vtec doesnt need to be adjusted.

the only time you would need to adjust your vtec point is when you would have different cams. Thats when you want to adjust the vtec so you can get the most out of your cams. 98ctr

exactly, so unless you have skunk2 stage 3 cams, playing with the vtec point is unneeded and will cost you power if you mess with it.
