throughout history, lower gun ownership has created high violent crime (in the united states).

look at washington d.c. "gun free zone" more people get killed there by guns than anyother place in the country.

blood on their hands

look at the poverty level and racial status of d.c

Myself have lived in mostly minority areas my whole live the bay area and vegas and Im sorry opening gun laws and making ownership/carrying easier isnt gonna stop ----

if the criminals know you are trying to prevent ---- they ---- with you, there was just a big story on the news about a lady having problems like that (DC news)

D.C. has actually calmed down a bit from what it used to be, numbers my not tell the story but me being a white boy who walked through some of the nastiest projects around to feed a habit can tell you that DC isnt the problem anymore, its the hispanic teenagers who think they still live in a 3rd world country and try to be Tony Montana that are causing the problems around here.
i feel much safer walking down borroughs ave at 3am then walking down Rt50 in Fairfax, sad but true

i agree, but most people who apply for a CWP are gun hobbyists and know how to use a firearm properly

My .45 is about as accurate as a blind retarded kid with a slingshot. :1

I blame rap, video games and the entire internet for this. :1

chris, its obvious by your choice of words and the way you talk, you think guns are a toy and really have no weight in this arguement.

if someone is going to get "blasted" anyways, he still has a chance, and chances are the criminal is going to run away and find an easier target.

we know you're a wannabe elitist liberal chris, are you saying ------s aren't smart enough to be able to carry firearms legally people who are poor are too stupid to be able to have a pistol are you going to decide, or maybe tipper gore who is smart enough to have one, or rich enough? can i buy al gores firearm footprint to allow me to have more ammunition?

Like I said a skilled person with a gun yes would have done soemthing about this situation that applies to basically any hostage situation.

Am I liberal yes. Do I believe in gun ownership of course I do I just dont see how people swear that if they have one they are safe. The only people I know who have a right to carry are your typical I cant fight with my fists and afraid of the big black man type. These people in the masses again cant even shoot a gun, I spent 7 years living in the f'in desert of california and nevada I have shoot more guns than 99 percent of people walking the streets so Im hardly against them, my liberal immigrant father owned 5 guns while I was growing up and I learned to shoot when I was 14 so Im not some liberal havent seen my share of ---- scared guns are bad little bitches.

Ignorant scared people shoot people. Guns are needed for wars and hunting. Not the kid who swears he's a ganagster and robs the local 7-11 or 20 something that swears without a gun the black guy who is walking behind is gonna rape him and take his wallet.

This is why "good people" need guns. It would be nice to live in a perfect world where nothing bad will ever happen and nobody will ever try to put a bullet in your head, but that's never going to happen. I'll hand over my guns the day it's safe to do so.

I totally agree my main argument I guess is those who do carry dont practice to make it even useful. They carry it around like their dick is bigger than the man who lacks such a tool yet some liberal douche like myself can out shoot him any day of the week
