Vintage JDM BMX
Just picked this up from a buddy who restored it and is a pretty hardcore rider. he is just plain bored of it , too scared to ride it because it is pretty rare. I have wanted one forever , but unwilling to fork out $700 to $1500 for one.
Kick ass.. 80's Kuwahara Bravo Pro. http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...48257_5128.jpg http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...48256_4106.jpg |

|
Re: Vintage JDM BMX
Nice bike. but The good kind is Standard made in the USA 400 for the frame alone . I just got my kid a frame . ouch

Re: Vintage JDM BMX
sweet bike, thats a awesome frame for the 80's.. I still have my bmx hanging in the basement, I just cant sell it.

Re: Vintage JDM BMX
I vaguely remember Kuwahara's. My first real bike was a Elf Doublecross and then last was a Standard STA. We used to alot of the original Standard riders live around here. Hell, my wife used to work with Dave Friemuth's wife and I used to go out with the sister of a rider sponsored by Etnies. The bike back then didn't take as much of a beating like they do now.

Re: Vintage JDM BMX
LOL, this brings back memories. I had a kuwahara magician about in about 88. Grey and pink, but the thing that made it cool to all the other kids was the fs stem, so you could spin the bars, blew peoples minds. I also had another kuwahara that was blue with white lettering and white tires. Can't remember the name of it to save my life though. More of a race style bike then the freestyle magician.
---- I'm old... |

Do you remember the movie Bmx Bandits?
I've been looking for it for ever and can't find it. I believe this is one of Nicole Kidman's first movies. I have great respect for all you 20"ers, I wish I would have raced bmx when I was younger. But, 26>20 |
Re: Vintage JDM BMX
One of my favorite bikes was a Kastan cruiser with Cook cranks and nuke proof hubs. All this BMX talk is making me want another bike. Too bad I just sold my Crupi squares last month I had for like fifthteen years.
