Video - BBKA at PIR on 10psi
One more for the media archive.
This was from last saturday at PIR, I showed up to do a few runs to see how things were running, and Pat was there, so I got a couple of his passes on video. bbka-pir.wmv (8.86megs/2:32) Right Click Save As... Pretty good and consistent for 10psi, kept nailing the same times. |

Re: Video - BBKA at PIR on 10psi
My first run I pulled a high 1.8 60ft and those last two runs I pulled low 1.9 60ft, so I wasn't too happy with that. I was expecting 1.7's especially since I was launching off the rev limiter. Traction is much better at Woodburn or Pacific... the right lane at PIR just blows. All 3 passes were at 13.2 though and I thought that was pretty good.

Nice, and that quote at the end rocks!

Re: Video - BBKA at PIR on 10psi
I'm sure I could have ran a 12 second pass if I had turned the boost up or got a better 60ft. I need another car to drive though, cause I would be fucked if I blew my engine now that I have to commute to work.

Re: Video - BBKA at PIR on 10psi
Pat what were your 1/8 times and mph. I'm looking for something to compare with as we have very similair setups, turbo, slicks and quaife. I think my 1/8 time is in my sig but I will know after I post :) 8.46@ 81.97mph (weather was very hot though) at 10psi. High 1.8 60's too.

Re: Video - BBKA at PIR on 10psi
burnouts in second helped me SO much, got down to 1.81 60 foots on 20x8x14 MTs...........
straddle the box, set ebrake, rev to 5000, dump clutch in second...........wait for the slicks to start dragging the rears........lift off the gas and release the ebrake.........stage.......... http://www.bettendorf.com/~mrbone/pi...burnout2nd.jpg |
Re: Video - BBKA at PIR on 10psi
i dont want to jack pats thread but...i will anyway! any of you guys use the ebrake to load up the car and take some of the shock off the drivetrain when your launching? like burnout...pull up to stage...pull the ebrake a little...slowly creep to stage...pull ebrake farther...let clutch out to load car...light goes...drop ebrake...feather the clutch out of the hole...a guy running pro/am turbo4 told me about that said it helped him launch and keeps him form breaking ----...but thats in a 700hp civic too...will it work for a set-up like pats?
|
Re: Video - BBKA at PIR on 10psi
I don't, but I only had about 200-210 whp.
Feathering the clutch is possible on the line loc unit, just release the button and the clutch hits. |
Re: Video - BBKA at PIR on 10psi
