Vibrant Performance exhaust??

anybody ever heard of Vibrant exhaust systems? I don't want something too loud, and I don't even care about HP gains. I just need to replace my rusting oem muffler and I want a decent sound. (and something that will last)

;D ;D
A buddy of mine has a Vibrant axle-back(S.S.)
on his RSX ,its a lot quieter than i expected.
But my Ractive double pass(Mugen style)
is still quieter, and the weld quality/fit and
finish is nicer so it will probably last longer
than the Vibrant

ok so I don't want a loud-ass coffee can, but I still want a little bit of rumble when I lean into the throttle -- noticeably louder than stock. But I don't want to turn heads everywhere I go. How loud was your buddy's exhaust on this kind of scale?

Where are you located? Vibrant is pretty popular in canada. It's a Canadian Company located in Mississauga. If you are in the GTA area of Canada I can let you hear my Saber Performance exhaust. Mind you mine is the type that turns heads.. and I PURCHASED the car this way if anyone gets ricer this ricer that ideas.

If you want something a little quieter but w/ some growl at WOT try Apexi WS series.

Re:Vibrant Performance exhaust??

I love the Apexi World Sport, but I can't pay that kind of money. I am looking for a decent tone, even a ricey fast-n-furious sound if I can get it (the exhaust sounds are the one thing I like about that movie), but in perhaps a cheap axle-back or universal muffler w/ custom piping. I have a good contact down here to do my piping. I have thought about Apexi N1, but I have heard it will be too loud for what I want.

ya, the N1 is a drag muffler, or crazy street, its really loud like a tanabe. I would go custom, just get a SS muffler and get the shop to weld pipes/hangers. Where are you located?

I'm at college for a couple more weeks in kentucky. Your description of a custom job is actually the exact plan I had in mind. I just want to be sure and get a muffler that suits my needs. I am currently bidding low on a Tenzo R universal, and if I don't win that, there is a particular Vibrant muffler that I can buy pretty cheap too. I have an exhaust place set up and everything, good old "been in this town for 30 years" kind of place; he's giving me a good deal!

try out a turbo dynomax muffler ;) I think its the noise you're looking for.

I used to have one of those mufflers.. they are pretty good and really good for the price... I'd go w/it.

Just go to Pep-Boys and get the generic muffler for $7.99 and have at it with an axe. It will have that awesome performance sound, at a tenth of the price.
