Very Generally Speaking...
Let say you have a 2200lb FWD car with a 5 speed, and it's capible of *breaking the 205/50 15's *loose in 3rd, (clean pavment) could that have the potential to be a 13 sec car?
Sorry track's are closed this time of year. And a buddy has the G-tec. yeah, I know it's a question that does'nt really have a answer unless I go to the track and find out...but generally speaking? Edit: *Break loose= To be in 3rd gear with the clutch fully engaged, then drive untill the RPM's reach 3500 RPM's where the boost builds, and as boost comes on the front tires then loose traction untill gas pedal is lifted. Tires are in like new condition. |

Re:Very Generally Speaking...
any car has the potential to be a 13sec car...
go to the track and find out or race a car that you know how fast it is and go from there. |

Re:Very Generally Speaking...
yeah i think it can be a mid to high 13 sec. car. unless the tires are completely worn out. the gtech
pro is accurate but it doesn't count the reaction time because it starts countdown after the car begins to move. |

Anyways on topic, capable of 13 sec, maybe, but keep this in mind, I had a 91 Civic hatch with a A6 block in there that would chirp in third, and there was NO way that was a 13 second car. |

Re:Very Generally Speaking...
if you have a brain you can break the tires loose in any manual car in any gear.
I "broke the tires loose" in a 87 cavalier with 200k on it |
Re:Very Generally Speaking...
fork your a dumb ass, he means just stomping on it, no clutch involved, breaking your tires loose in third I would bet you could run 13s easily, do a launch and count how long it takes for you to get to 100mph, then we'll tell you if you can run 13 seconds ;)
