Picked up an assignment from my new neighbor, who lives in Vegas and just bought the house across the street from me to spend 1 weekend a month with his young kids (who live here with their mom).

Assignment:

Fly to Vegas (my wife is a flight attendant) cost $0
Drive his car from Vegas to Minnesota- 1650 miles
Get paid

thats one hell of a job i wouldnt mind doing. for some reason i feel so calm and relaxed behind the wheel of my cars. i know the limits and potentials of them, and how to react in them.

do some smokey burnouts in it and get it on film and post it here. nothing like seeing a bmw do something noteworthy every now and then, instead of some high class fag speeding past you....give it the Stealthmode treatment O0

You just have to get yourself on a website for personal car transport. With the free flights you could make bank. Just tell people to leave it at the airport parking lot and mail you the keys.

Just got back tonight. Those were some long days, but I couldn't have asked for more fun of a car to drive. I hadn't seen this car before I got there, but this is what I found:
(I didn't actually find it in a remote desert (homemade piss stop), that's just where I took the cell phone pic)

The car practically drives itself. The cruise control is bangin hot. Paddle shifters, basically a stick without the clutch. Dark tint is always good with me, as well as built in GPS and Sat. radio with the dash screens for display. He told me this car has 375whp, and at over 3600 pounds, I'll accept that. The chrome dubs could have been black, but even with the 35 series tires it was smooth as ass, and took the rocky mountain corners at 90 with ease.

Since this is turning into a review, the one downfall was the transmission shifts. Even with light throttle, it had a 1/2 second pause (or windup) and then it would leap forward going into the next gear. I got used to it, but at first just cruising city streets I was wondering how they could sell a car in mass like this that paused and jumped into every gear, regardless of the driving style. I got used to it, and eventually found the traction control button. 8)

Oh, and I only managed to get one speeding ticket. O0 I had the cruise on lock at 90 in Colorado (75 mph zone) and I saw this pig coming from the opposite direction on the highway. I didn't even flinch cause there was no traffic and he was on the other side of the ditched highway. Right as I pass him I see him hit the fucken brakes. There was a round-about thing in the dirt right there and the fucker decided to go for it. I'm looking in the mirror and this ----------er almost kills himself drifting off the dirt and on to my side of the freeway. He got me for 89, which wasn't any more dangerous than his tokyo drift, but we all know it's about money anyway. $77 added to the cost of the transport. :6

all the Auto paddle shift cars ive drove have that same pause while shifting, It drives me ------- nuts i couldnt own one :3

All you need to know is "I get mine, son".

I'm not real worried about the ticket. Out of state, won't effect me, and the owner of the car owns more houses than he could see in a year. $77 ain't ----.

I don't know what you mean by it won't affect you, unless you mean that you won't get enough points in a year to lose your license or anything.

State DMVs talk back and forth. Say your license got suspended in Florida, you can't get one in Minnesota because it will show up in their system.

thats true for most states. there are a few that dont care. i got 2 5 year suspensions and i thought abuot moving to arizona to get away from it

That's the Drive By Wire throttle I believe in these cars...my wife's TT does the same ---- and it sucks.

Sure does, same reason you can't even put a simple boost controller on a Saab 9-3. It just closes the throttle plate to keep the boost down.

Yeah, this car was drive by wire, but I think the pause and jump might have been the transmission. The drive by wire throttle is kinda shitty though. You put it in drive, take your foot off the brake, and the car just stands still. It sucks in traffic, which I was in, in Des Moines Iowa. A guy decided it would be a good idea to get a sun tan on the freeway (a.k.a. the nigga wuz dead) :X

I see it was a guy on a bike with no helmet. I thought the fire trucks were parked odd as I drove slowly through, then I looked just at the right time to see dude basking in the sun, one guy taking pictures of him, and another with a clean white sheet to throw over him. Yesterday was a bad day for him.

Not true for New York or VA, I had my license yanked in NY but was cool here and since i lived here in va i took my time getting ---- straight.
