Vacumn pump.

You guys ever heard of the idea of hooking up a vacumn pump to the crank case? The belief is that the vacumn makes the rings seal hard against the cylinder walls, resulting in more power. I've heard stories of motorcycle drag racers, big block racers and all motor honda guys who use it.

I also recently read that crown victorias came with electric vacumn pumps, smae with old vettes..? I'm wondering if a 12 volt vacumn motor from a auto scrubber would work?

I want to run one on my new setup (along with alchy injection... argggh matey!)

But I was also thinking that perhaps a vacumn pump could be used on a stock engine with low compression to help reduce the amount of oil consumption. A friend of mine is burning quite a bit of oil, any thoughts on a vacumn pump helping out?

I was at the vacumn store today... looks like they dont make 12 volt vacumn motors, while they arn't the common... only come in 24 volt and 36 models. shitty.

How about that to always keep vacuum on the PCV valve?
