Vacation Ideas?

Vacation Ideas?
So, I'm attempting to plan my next vacation...
So far, I've decided that March '09, I'll be visiting the Great Smoky Mtns. I'm renting a cabin in TN. Secluded, romantic. blah blah blah!
I want to take a beach trip during the summer, or early fall. I'm debating where I'd like to go. I've considered Myrtle Beach, SC. I'm an SC native, so it's a 2.5 hr drive- 196 miles. I've also considered Daytona Beach, FL. I've been there once, I liked it. about 5.5- 6 hour drive-422 miles. I've also been looking at Panama City Beach, FL. That's 508 miles... prolly 6.5- 7 hours. Anyone been to these places? What's your recommendation? I've been looking @ condos on VRBO. If I visit PCB, I'm probably gonna stay here.

i rented a cabin in the Smokies about this time last year. Had a pimp *** cabin and it was awesome. I would do it again. They've got indoor skydiving there. It doesnt last long enough but I suggest it anyways.

IMO:
Myrle beach sucks, not as good as it used to be.
Daytona sucks to live there, but good for vacation, dont go on bike week.
For beaches:
Google Oak Island, NC cheap+fun w/scenery
I would personally save my money and go back to Nassau. The bahamas ------- own.

id say get out of the country, if youre willing to pay for gas on a 5-6 hour trip for both ways might as well fly somewhere. me and my girlfriend went to puerto rico in march when it was kinda outa season and we paid 500 for 5 days with airfare and hotel. it was ------ tight. hit up san juan man

Daytona is OK for vacation. I agree. I couldn't live there... Too many tourists.. lol
I'm thinking of sending Mom/ Dad on a cruise to Nassau In Oct '09. Mom's big 5-0!

chris can vacation at my house in the shithole called michigan. best part about it though is i live by a bunch of settled down old folks that dont bother my one bit. and they cant really hear my loud *** exhuast because i took all there hearing aids......
