Yes sir, the basic 350's are lots of fun for the first little bit. I have one in my 84 camaro with a built Th400 and that has enough nuts to make the average joe smile. After a while you get used to it and want me. Thats why Im stroking her out. It ran mid 14's...Tranny was a big help

Carbed? You sure? Last RS I worked on was FI.. did they switch to FI sometime in the F body years for the RS? I worked on a 1983 Camaro Z28, fuel injected, and an 89 Camaro RS, fuel injected...

Actually it just doesnt "BOLT" up, you need to swap bell housings on the trans first. It's a different bolt pattern.

You will also need to use the clutch from the 6 cylinder.

if you're going to put a bigger motor in it you might as well swap a trans with it also & rear end :/

but i guess if you wanna just get a motor in it that is a little more stout do motor/trans

buy a EFI 350 from a 90s truck. it would haul pretty good. those 350s are runners. you can get em for like $850 dollars with a 3 year/30k mile warrenty
