I had a friend that went there and everytime I saw him he wanted to quiz me with stupid questions like "so, do you want your rings gapped or staggerd?". 
Then I would come back with something like, "would you run less timing and more boost, or water injection with more timing and more boost, or both?"

My brother went to UTI...he graduated top of his class, they put him through their Mercedes Benz Excellence courses for free and Hot Rod school. Mercedes of Palm Springs CA hired him right out of school. He's 26 now and he makes $130,000 a year. It's a great school not UnTrainedIdiots, idiots talk ---- about ---- they don't know about. If you want to know, call a dealer, they'll tell you that they prefer UTI...But Wyotech is good too.

Well he may be the exception, but...also you don't work at a Mercedes dealership...I don't need you to believe me about the 130k but figure he makes 26 dollars an hour and he flags 14-18 hours a day. Whoever here is a tech will know what flag hours are, he works 0 overtime. Also he is a team lead, with 1 trainee, he bonuses on how many hours flagged his team does and gets 1.00 an hour for every hour each person on his team flags (6 people). Also I know that he makes this much for sure because he stopped having to pay Social Security tax for the year when he hit around 90k. That was about June-July, if any of you know about taxes and federal ---- you know that once you hit that mark the government no longer takes SST out of your check and you get an 8.5% bump in pay basically! Anyway I am just trying to help you out and let you know what is possible if your are intellegent and apply yourself at UTI. Thanks (bow)
