USPS Parcel post... question inside. If you had experience please post up.

Ok here's the deal. I have a transaction with a fellow HMT member for a few parts. I believe it was shipped USPS Parcel post, being that they told him the travel time to be 10 days or more. Well it's been almost a month, like 3 weeks now, and i still have got nothing. The delivery confirmation number still says "enroute" but damn that was the 29th of sept.

So my question is this, what is the longest you have waited for a package to arrive via USPS Parcel Post?

Please post up your experience.

Longest I have waited was 2.5 weeks, why dont you give them a call?

yeah I'm thinking about doing that, but I doubt that they are gonna help me much.

Thanks for your input.

Damn and it's getting costly for me too, I drive to my P.O. box like 10ish miles round trip each day, just to see it not there. So gay.

damn, that makes me feel a little bit better. Was it actually USPS's fault and was shipped when claimed or was it hotrex 102 shipping? Was it also from a US zip to a US zip?

damn well thanks for your input.

Jeez CT to Ohio, not even across country like mine and it took that long? That's terrible. This is the LONGEST USPS has ever taken on anything that I have ordered. USPS is my shipping preference too.

I guess USPS is turning into UPS then huh? I remember one package took more than a WEEK to get to me. A weekish to deliver, not that long huh? Typical travel time. But it was shipped from a city 20 minutes away!!! Damn seller didn't allow local pickups.

They usually do well with Priority from my experiences, but I had a parcel post package from GA to MO take 3.5 weeks. :-\

damn 3.5 weeks, well it's been that long for me already :-\ And I too have usually had good experiences with Priority Mail. Whenever I buy stuff I always request USPS Priority Mail, but I guess the "savings" using Parcel Post is that appealing. :-\ I guess I can only hope for Monday. It's coming from VA to CA

Thanks for your input. :) And welcome to the site. I guess I'm special huh, I'm your first! First post guys, first post. Some of you fuckers are so dirty :P

parcel post...the package goes on the truck when they have room. very last priority. Ive had ---- that would take a week to get to me take 2 months parcel post. it will get there...just be a long ass time.

AgentMurdoc 10-23-2005 05:06 AM

Re: USPS Parcel post... question inside. If you had experience please post up.

gosh darnit... so I can expect some more waiting. :-\ This package will be a fairly large package too :-\

Damn and I'm waiting for another package that has also been shipped Parcel post too, which will also be a good size package. ---- I hate parcel post. I should just check the tracking number instead of driving down to the PO everyday to check my PO box. ---- I spend 20 minutes everyday just to go to the PO to check. Sooooo gay.

Thanks for your input too frank. Damn one time I got something shipped parcel post, it only took a week to get here, but I guess cause it was a small size.

Oh jeez and the waiting game continues. After this I'm gonna have to specify that I will not accept parcel post shipments. This is just seriously rediculous. The one thing that I hate is the thing I have to do... waiting. Drives me crazy. :S Damn I'm getting pissed and my head is starting to hurt. :-\

Re: USPS Parcel post... question inside. If you had experience please post up.

oh no I'm by no means calling these shippers hotrexII, I have delivery confirmation numbers that say they have been dropped off. But for one of them, it just sucks to have to wait longer after I have waited long enough :-\

The USPS tracking/delivery confirmation sucks...so slow to update and it dosen't give the details like UPS or Fedex.

It took about 3 weeks for a package I sent PRIORITY mail which is 2-3 days to go from Ashland, Oregon to Redding, California.

It's 136 miles or a 2.5 hour drive. ------- ridiculous.

Thanks for your input guys.

This ---- really blows. For giggles I went to check my PO Box just to see if any of them came, and well to no surprise none of them came yesterday. And even though I wasn't expecting them to be there, I still got pissed, just like every other time I check.

I still prefer USPS Priority Mail though over FedEx and UPS. :P

I just hate this Parcel Post bullshit

I always use USPS for my deliverys from US to Australia. They are fast and the cheapest by far. My stuff also gets through 9x out of 10 without any fee's. Longest i waited though was when i shipped an intercooler surface mail. 9.5weeks on a 4-6week service :)

Parcel post gets the last Priority on beign process. Say if that one post office can not empty out all theire regular/priority mails throught out the whole freaking week, your parcel will stay at the same spot unitl everything else is processed.

Last time it took me 2 weeks to recivie something from NY to CA on parcel post. I actually paypal him a few extra dollars for a tracking number but fucker didn`t even spend the 45 cents for a delivery conformation ::). Which drove me crazy for the two weeks while i am waiting :7

Thanks for the input guys.

weq- I agree USPS owns on international shipping. It is actually the cheapest, it just sucks they have size restrictions for different countries.

Donald- You should send that guy a bill for your couple bucks back. That ---- is just wrong.

that little .45 sticker doesn't mean much, it only means it got to the post office that is supposed to deliver it.......

but I'll still spend it.

BTW USPS Priority, OH to Oregan or Washington state, 2.5 days.

Dropped it off on a Tuesday night, was there Friday.

Also look into the flat rate boxes....... $7.70 for anything that fits in the box, up to 70 lbs! I used the boxes for the magazines I sold on Ebay. Average 19-20 lbs. per box.

werd. Priority usually takes no time at all. In state is usually next day. And unlike UPS on sundays they actually move. Send it out Saturday, a lot of times they get it monday and if not monday, tuesday.

And those flat rate boxes are SUPER! and having two different sizes is cool too.

Thanks for the input. YAY! another member that loves USPS too. :8

Why do you need a PO box anyways Murdoc? I'm just clueless on the whole PO Box system and when normal people need them. You place of residence has an address or do you live in a van under a bridge or something? Just curious. :P
