Really thinking about dropping a couple bucks and picking this up. Just wanted some insite from you guys has far has if you have seen better deals seems pretty far to me. |

For hobby use or actual shop use? Bridgeports are solid machines, even when they're bad there are companies that specialize in rebuilding bridgeports beyond factory specs :o. Just remember you still need tooling which will cost a fair amount of money.
Seems like a solid deal to me as long as nothing is shot on it. |

Seems like a solid deal to me as long as nothing is shot on it. shop use. Im just trying to expand what i have and something of this nature I feel will allow me to do alot of things I want to do but Im held back on |

we had one of those in shop class in HS. 50 times smoother than the POS we had when i was a freshman

if its for buisness, the step pulley kinda sucks, its kinda a pita. bridgeport, is definitely nice though

Bridgeports are old & solid. We have one from the 50's at school. I use it every few days, still works 100%.
You can yank the pulleys off of those & convert them to CNC. Hawtness. |
